Without belaboring the point, I just don’t see how this series advances the city. How does Newark benefit? How can Newark transform itself and bring in investment with this crap? The first series, for those that want to forget, billed itself as “The Wire Live.”
Come on, we can do better; Newarkers deserve better. Rather than following around so-called gang members, why don’t they go follow a kid from Science Park or University or the young ladies that dominate in b-ball for South Side? So many good stories but I know, I know…that’s not what people want to see.
