Go Fish! Branch Brook Park Alliance and County Executive Joe DiVincenzo Invite Children and Families to the 2008 Boating & Fishing Derby in Branch Brook Park
Who: Branch Brook Park Alliance, Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. and the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs invite the public to participate in Branch Brook Park’s 2008 Fishing & Boating Derby on May 10th.
Sponsored by the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, with support from the Branch Brook Park Alliance, Branch Brook Park’s 2008 Fishing & Boating Derby is free and open to children ages 6- 15. All children must be accompanied by an adult and bring their own fishing pole, bait, bucket and chair. Prizes in various age categories for catching the first and most fish will be awarded at the conclusion of each derby. The family-friendly day features activities including boating, fishing equipment and face painting, as well as additional interactive activities and prizes. Food will be
provided for participating children.
